Which for me also applies to the 3710 Backhoe. I knew it would be handy, but it's all that and MUCH more. Ideal way to clear lots of rough brush, move & place material, pull stumps, etc. {Is it fair/allowed to link or 'quote' one's own post here? Hope so - here's a photo to prove it will pull decent stumps}

Diggin,

Thanks for posting the link. I remember seeing that photo, which got my mind to working. That is just one more of those darn postings that is going to cost me big bucks!

Anyway, what size bucket do you have on that 3710? I'm about to order a 2710 today or Monday.

Thanks,
Knute

Knute,

I had thought the 12" bucket would be too small, but it actually gets into tight spaces so well that I'm sticking with it. In case of digging a big space like a pool or pond, the larger bucket would be better. For all-round stuff (especially getting under stumps,) the small one has been more convenient in use. Good Luck!

Nissan, I own a 2615 HST, and use it to maintain seven of my 10 acres. Much of my use is similar to your situation: blackberries, weeds, field mowing, and moving materials. I maintain a 1/4 mile gravel road, too.

I am so glad I did not get the 2615 gear. The luxury of not shifting into reverse while doing my work is priceless. My tractor is almost 2yrs. old, I have about 240 hrs. and I look forward to many more trouble free years. Nothing has really gone wrong except for minor issues overlooked in the Texas assembly plant. My dealer took care of them.

My finance deal is 36 mo. no interest. However, there is an administrative fee, and mandatory insurance.

I have pretty much decided on a Mahindra. I narrowed it down to the 2615 and the 3215, both gear with front end loader. I will find out if they will accept my offer in the morning on the 3215 (Shuttle Shift). Salesman was off, but I left him a message and he called me back and thought the deal was doable, but he would have to find out when he went back to work. I could get it 600 dollars cheaper at a dealer 170 miles away, but I feel a lot more comfortable having a dealer that is only 12 miles away. I offered 17K with 20% down and will purchase a rotary cutter and box blade in cash from them.
Anyone know what the administrative fee is for a Mahindra loan? Does it differ by dealer? I am guessing you have to purchase the insurance through Mahindra? How much is that?

I don't remember how much the fee was, but for my rig Mahindra wanted around $25 a month for insurance. :( I joined Farm Bureau ($40 a year) and got coverage on the 6520 4WD, FEL, BH, Hyd. PHD, and rotary cutter along with my 20 foot gooseneck lowboy for around $12 a month, lump sum once a year! :D

The admin. fees and other fees will vary mainly depending on the state you are in. Some have higher filing fees than others.

Generally the insurance is cheaper if you get it through the credit company, it normally comes out to around $15 a month but that also may vary from state to state.

More expensive equipment = higher insurance cost.

I am paying around $12 dollars a month through Texas Farm Bureau and Agricredit wanted around $25 a month for the same equipment. Farm Bureau also has my trailer on the policy. It pays to shop around. :eek:

It differs by state, but in California, it is $0.00074/month x new value of equipment. $7.40/$10K/Month.
