Mahindra 2555 cab, Mahindra 4500
So recently bought a new 2555 shuttle cab and love it so far. Grew up using a Mahindra 4500 and all ford tractors. I was torn between the 4550 and the 2555 went with the 2555 because increased lift capacity and it alittle more narrow so i can fit it in trails easier. I was just wondering what are the differences between the 2555 and 2565? Can i do a few injection modifications to increase the hp to the same as the 2565?

I don’t know that engine but can relay my story with the 1533/1538.

I asked my dealer if he could/would increase the HP of the 1533 to that of the 1538 as it’s the same engine with a different program. Same thing one would do with an aftermarket program/chip on a car. He not only said no, but heck no. Made it sound like (not sure if it was true) he would lose his dealership if he was to do it.

So if it has an ECU I don’t think you will have much luck.

If it doesn’t have an ECU ignore everything written above and call a local diesel injection shop. They can typically guide you through a pressure increase for a few HP and new injectors etc for a lot more power. But if it has an ECU their is little to be done outside the ECU- timing, pressure and flow is all set by the ECU.

I doubt 5hp is worth the aggravation later on like fighting a warranty claim should something expensive break.
