Mahindra 2538 coolant flush and capacity

Hey all,

Getting ready to do my 1000 hr service, and I'm also going to flush and change out the coolant.

Looked at the owner's manual (better known as fire-starter) and not one word on capacity of cooling system. Any of you that have already flushed out the 2538 system have a notion of how much it takes?

No but i have the same machine and would also like to know. Last weekend i was at my farm cutting some small trees and decided to try and push over a pine tree i had planted 18 yrs ago. It was about 10 inches at the base. I pushed it right over and poppod the root wad out . I was amazed at the power. Let me know if you find out any info on coolant amount.

About 7 quarts total including the overflow bottle. I used Prestone Command HD antifreeze (yellow band)+ distilled water. Old stuff came out clean.

Just make sure whatever you're using has the ASTM D6210 cert so you know you're using the stuff with the right additives for diesel engines. I agree with R134a too, the Prestone Command HD (yellow band) is good stuff to use.

I used a gallon of concentrate, and diluted it 50/50. Used almost all 8 qts. Have probably a pint of mixture left over for topping off if needed.
