Mahindra 1626 Won't Turn Over

turn the key to the on position. and leave it there for about a minute or 2, there is a priming function on mahindra. do not try to start it.

cycle the glow light 3 times, then try. if still nothing your gonna have to start cracking lines and see. you should be getting puffs of something.

can also throw an amp meter inline on the glow plug wire to see if its pulling current as well.

Yup no luck here. Just feel like its not getting fuel. I wonder if its fuel pump related which I guess I could check as well.

I think were lucky we have a glow light and oil pressure light. There aren't computers in these.

Do you hear the fuel shutoff solenoid banging when you turn the key its quite loud.

there is no fuel pump, at least not on mine, its gravity drain through the filter to the injection pump

I do hear the solenoid.

I spoke to the dealer and they also pointed at the glow plugs. I'm going to swap out the terminal connector and see if that's the issue. Alternative is a 6-8 week wait on other parts if necessary. Hoping this is the issue.

take the air filter out.

shove a hair dryer in the intake for 10 minutes. see if it fires.

(make sure to remove the hair dryer before starting...LOL)

put the spec's for your glow plugs and
do a google search as there should be
more than one company that makes them
that will fit your tractor

I’m assuming the 1626 has the MHI S3L motor.

You can test the glow plugs in place. Disconnect the wire and remove the bus bar.measure the resistance from the threaded terminal to ground. Should be 0.55 ohms. The voltage to the bus from the glow plug controller should be less the battery. Manual specs 10.5 volts.
Also you may be getting proper voltage but not current. Beside checking the spade connector at the plugs might want to clean up the bus, pull the connectors on the glow plug controller and spray some contact cleaner on them.
seem to recall some people have corrosion issues at a crimped connector but think it’s a bear to get to.

As has been mentioned,
are you seeing any smoke when cranking?
If not make sure your fuel shutoff is fully opening
