2014 mahindra 3016 shuttle loader and backhoe with thumb
Anyone here of this new model sounds like they are trying to bring back 3016 with new model numbers

That's what it is, one of the changes, the joystick is not down in front of the fender, but up on the loader tower. Actually makes getting on-off of the right side no longer a problem like it is with the 15 & 16 series machines. I like it, it's simply a great size machine with good capabilities.

same specs as the 3016 except for the hp. I think they just changed the engine to the new mcrd version.

glad to see the 3016 come back.

it's departure left a hole in their lineup.

the hst and brake pedals make it too difficult for me to use, not so much the fel controls. i like them where they are.

My local dealer feels that they will be big sellers, he has 10 of them on order. ;)

According to the specs. the size of the FEL is a little smaller than the FEL that fit the 3016. The FEL for the 1526 has a maximum lift height (to the pins) of 84 inches and a 1560 pound lift capacity as opposed to the 99 inch lift height (to the pins) and a 1650 pound lift capacity of the 3016.

My local dealer just received two 1526 shuttle shift tractors both with FELs. They seem like nice machines to me. My dad is considering upgrading from an eMax 25 HST with MMM and FEL to a 1526 with a MMM and FEL. My only concern is the 1526 having enough PTO power (19 hp shuttle shift/18.5 hp HST) to run a six foot wide MMM and still do a good job of cutting. Would it be able to handle occasional heavy grass (in a large yard, not a field)? I'm glad Mahindra introduced the 1526 tractor. Once Mahindra increased the size (length) and horsepower of the tractors with the introduction of the 15 Series, there seemed to be a big gap in size between the Max 26 and the 1533. :)

Hey reeltime how has your 3016 served you? Has it been a good machine? Any problems you have run into? Thanks for any info.

based on the pics on the web site, it looks like it is, in every sense but the engine, a 3016.

I've been looking at the 1526 shuttle. I love it, but this is my issue, and the more I look at the specs, the more something doesn't make sense. The 1526 lifts to 84 inches, and the "dumped" clearance is 78 inches. So it loses 6 inches when dumped. The 1533/1538 lifts to 99 inches (15 inches more), and "dumped" clearance is 79.8, (only 1.8 inches more than the 1526), so it loses 19.2 inches when dumped. Am I missing something??? I'm more concerned about the dumped clearance. Sounds like a typo in the brochure. Can anybody check this out??

Theres at least 90inhces of clearance with the 1533

Could be a typo--and the 1533 does have a deeper bucket than the 1526

Same engine. Just rated at a little less RPM to get the HP under the EPA norms, therefor no need for a computer controlled engine. This is not a mCRD engine. It's the tried and true engine we have had in many models for many years.

The loader and the backhoe are downsized just a tad, and actually it creates a very nicely balanced machine. And for marketing, it gives a little space between it and the 1533, giving a reason for some to upgrade to that model.

Literalist. Many tons!

No on Tulare, my dad is not doing well and I need to stay close. :(

I'm sorry to hear this, but completely understand. I hope that your dad can at least be comfortable, as in no pain. :(

And I was just being a smart *** about the 1526s. Which by the way, I really do like.

Wow, it looks like they finally brought my tractor back with reverse numbers. I have a 2615, specs look identical. That should at least boad well for parts and stuff. I like the new hydro pedal location. Mine def has some ergo issues but I still love her.

I was talking to my dealer about the 1526 while I was shopping for my new tractor a couple months ago. He didn't have one in yet, but was really excited about them. He said that he didn't think he would be able to sell another Max with the 1526 on the lot at the price point it is selling for. Makes sense to me.
