I've been reading through tbn as I often do and while I don't mind reading on the computer, I was wondering if there are any magazines that are similar in content and style of tbn. Doesn't mean I'll ever give up the real tbn though. Just curious?

I have tried to locate one, with no success. The only tractor magazine I have ever subscribed to is Antique Power, which covers mainly old iron built from the early 1900's thru about 1965. And there is very little "how-to" information.

I too prefer reading from paper rather than a computer monitor, but then again, there are no magazines which have the friendly and helpful banter that TBN has :)

The only thing close would be Compact Equipment (deals mostly with professional/construction equipment) and then Hobby Farms, Mother Earth News, etc. Maybe we should make one?

Good idea!

Make it a mail subscription magazine and call it "TractorByMail".

I've read all those and found them to be extremely disapointing on any real information. They like everything and what little information they provide is to vague and broad to be of any use. Except for the pictures, they are pretty much a waste of paper.

For a few years when Mother Earth News first came out, there were lots of articles on building farm equipment, including tractors.

Now the articles are about how to choose new equipment from a dealer.

I had a freebie subscription to Compact Equipment for two years but it had little of interest to me. Sad thing about today's magazines is, they have sharply reduced real content and added so much advertising they are next to worthless. Back about Y2K I subscribed to probably 20 magazines but today I only subscribe to TIME magazine and two auto related magazines.

So true Bill, magazines and news papers too are ruined by countless adverts.
