MAG LED FLASHLIGHTS

I've got one of those conversions for a mini mag light. Not much in the way of "throw", but OK to light the immediate area. I keep it at my desk at work just in case the lights go out. Of course I also have three other lights on my person.

I have one of the mini mag light conversions. Have used it on hunting and Scout trips for over a year now on the same batteries. I like it. It does not allow you to focus the beam though. You can twist the flashlight head, but it has little affect. Mine has helped me find my way to duck blinds at 4am in the morning though.

Diesel, that looks like a nice flashlight, however, I don't think it is right for me. Since it takes 3 D Cells, it will be larger and heaver than the SureFire, and as you stated, it does not work well as a spot light. Sometimes in an attic or crawl space with low headroom you need a good light that can project into a dark corner.

Also, the entryway into many attics is just a small cubby hole in the top of a closet. It is tough climbing through the hole with a large flashlight, camera, cell phone, and tool pouch hanging on your belt.

Thanks for the link though. For general purpose uses it is probably a great light.

I like this one for a standard type flashlite. Works well in smoky conditions

the stinger gets my vote hands down. I have had one for about 10 years. its been everywhere. fits in the back pocket , charges up in the truck. Parts are reasonable. local service is excellent. well worth the $100.00 I paid for it.
