M8560 squeal noise on shutdown

That does not sound like the fan belt at all, nor would the WSM help in this situation. It sounds hydraulic. Try useing hyd pressure (raise/lower the 3pt, loader or hold the brakes) while you shut it off. This should at least tell you if its hydraulic.

If you do suspect it to be the fan belt just take the fan belt off and start/stop it.

Hey guys, I’ve been meaning to get on here and tell you what fixed my squealing problem. It was the the PTO solenoid valve. That hydraulic pressure line goes from the pump to the steering pump to the shuttle valve and then deadheads at the PTO solenoid. It was chattering when the PTO was in use and the oil was hot/warm. It would still chatter when when it was turned off also. It vibrated so bad that it would crack the steel line between the shuttle valve and the solenoid.
Once that valve was replaced the tractor has quiet ever since. Sorry for not sharing this sooner.
