M7060 8 speed versus 12 speed

More gears & EPTO is fantastic.
My green 5115M with EPTO has 32spds & an additional 16spds with the creeper range option.
So 6 ranges total with 4 gears then a hi/lo splitter in each of those gears.

Us poultry growers needs every speed you can get under 1mph down to a crawl like vegetable farmers.

I run every implement I own in E-PTO.

not sure if it was mentioned but the 12 speed gets you an e-PTO as well. glad you like it and it works for your uses

Correct, it does have 540E but I will say I haven't used it much. At least for my use, the regular 540 ground speeds were ideal, you end up travelling slower (at 540) in the same gear in 540E

True on ground speed but you can run the next gear to maintain your same speed, save fuel with less rpm AND not suck near as much dust in the air filter in dusty conditions.
I LOVE EPTO IDK why the bigger frame size tractors don’t have it

Agreed. That's how I do most of the PTO work. It's quite a difference in noise and fuel consumption.

I may play around with it some more. I have 4 PTO hay implements.

I want full power for the disc mower, that would be the thing I am heaviest use on power and fuel anyways.

The round baler, rake and tedder I often run less than 540 anyways, sometimes 480-500 RPM or so anyways so I sort of get the "540E" engine RPM

A disc mower doesn’t require much hp so EPTO would be perfect.
I’ve ran my 15’ Batwing Bush Hog in EPTO for 6yrs

Figured I'd update this in case anyone else is in the same situation.

I went with the 12 speed. I've put many hours on it and done all the field work and operations I bought it for. I am happy with the choice. Was about $1500 extra CDN over the 8 speed. Well worth it when combined with the better hyd flow and electric shift 4wd with 4 wheel braking.

Snip ------------

The park position prevents driving with parking brake set which is a good feature.

The only thing I don't like about "park" is I don't really like how it "feels" when putting in and out of park on a slope. I make a point not to stop on a slope. My 8-speed with brake pedal lock I do not care where I stop.
Thanks for updating. ....... Im interpreting that "park equipped" omits the pedal lockable feature for the brakes. Is that the case? (Well, darn ... ?)
