M7040 vs M7060

   / M7040 vs M7060 #21
So just talked to Karl from K&M (the guy in the video!) and he said he is working on that buddy seat for a more universal application. Coming out in around 6-8 weeks. He's going to email me when its ready.:)

Sounds like it could be promising if it's not too big for the cab. I wasn't able to view the video due to the internet nanny here at work, but I think I get the drift of what it's about

I haven't sat in a NH or new M7060 yet so I can't say much about the ergonomics. Supposedly the NH was pretty much designed around the operator as far as the cab goes, but that could be all marketing too.

I tried to view a 7060 on the lot, I called and asked if they had any, they said they did, I got there, they didn't. :confused3:

No I haven't sat in the Farmall, the closest dealer I have is over an hour away, and I'm afraid if I go look I'll end up back in debt.
I'm not sure which video you posted, but if it's of a T4 on you tube and was posted more than 2 weeks ago I can promise I've seen it, I've seen them all.

I really want to compare, in person, the Case 75C, the Kubota M7060, and the JD 5075E cab. The main reason I haven't, is because I'm not financially ready to pull the trigger, and I don't want to waste the dealers time by going in and pretending I'm going to buy. The one thing that may push me over the edge this year, is that if I can get a good price on a Case 75C then I may just "have" to purchase it. I don't know how long they'll keep the Tier 3 engine design in that tractor and I think I'd rather the Tier 3. However, the more people that are posting about the Tier 4's are easing my fears of them. I actually never had any fears at first, until I read so many posts on here about the "awful" Tier 4 engines. I have a hard time deciding these things.

Hey buddy, at the end of the day I think all of those machines will get the job done nicely. The over analysis can make me crazy:). I think for me, at the end of the day, the 7060 will look best snuggled between my L4330 and M108S.

The REAL hard part for me will come when I sell some of my old machines :((.

Be well,
Mike

Your absolutely right Mile! I think one reason that we sometimes dive a little too deep into the specs and details, is because so many of these tractors today are so similar in their capabilities and features that you really need to hunt to find many true differences. In reality, most all of them are great tractors and will get the job done day in and day out, regardless of the color.

Every tractor I've ever sold I have regretted. So my new free advice is "never sell if you can avoid it".

That's where the exhaust is on the open station 7040's.
You can get an optional down exhaust kit which puts the exhaust down and out just behind the front left tire.
