Price Check M6040

I am looking at buying a Kubota M6040DT 4wd with FEL, no cab. One of the dealers I called today has a "brand new" 2008 model that he is trying to get rid of. The origional quote he gave me was $29,500.00. I think that is a little high for a 2 year old tractor, even though it has 0 hours.

Can anyone tell me what would be a good price for this tractor?

Ask to see the invoice and offer 5% over it. Most dealers need about 7% to survive but if the tractor is really an overstock you may get the better price.

The year of manufacture is really not a factor. A new Kubota is just that regardless of the date it was put together.

Does seem high - we purchased an M7040 HSD for about 35K with FEL, R4's and extra buckets / forks. Time to call Barlow's?

I bought my brand new 2008 left over M7040 HD Shuttle open station loaded R1's with FEL last May for $30k even.

I bought a 2008 M5040DT 4wd IN 2008 and paid 18950.00 for it. The FEL option was 7,000 extra.

The year of manufacture is really not a factor. A new Kubota is just that regardless of the date it was put together.

Not for the resale value it isn't, which is something that when you buy a non-product year piece of equipment you must keep in mind.
