M5040 4WD Cab FEL 500hrs price?

Found a 2007 M5040 4WD Cab FEL 500hrs good condition. Dealer is asking $27,500. What should I offer? Thanks.

New it is about $37K, so I would say $22.5K.

Tractor House has few w/ cabs, the closest http://www.tractorhouse.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=6975585 is a 2006 w/ 750 hrs for $29.5K in Mobile, AL.

Around here any new like used tractors/equipment is NOT cheap. Sister is selling farm and looking at homes. Even used homes seem high compared to new homes since most will take $50K to get sewer, Heat/air, roof, interior, electrical updated. Nice late used vehicles are often not that much below new unless they have 100K miles.

That was a bust. We were dealing with a chain dealership. The other dealership told our local branch the tractor was in great shape so they went and got it for us to look at. It had lived a short but very hard life around big rocks and had the damage to prove it. Our salesman was honest and said as soon as he got a look he knew we would not like it. Orange pickings are slim in the clean low hour used 5040/5140 department on Craigslist and Tractor House.

Most people buying 50+hp utility tractors tend to keep them much longer then compacts. I see compacts around here for sale all the time with less then 500 hours on 99% of them whereas the utility tractors for sale almost always have 1,000 hours at minimum.
