Oil & Fuel M4030SU Turf Maintenance

This is my dad's tractor and he has a few thousand hours on it, runs real good and no problems with it. It's the turf special with the nice tires on it that won't dig up the grass.

I need to know the maintenance basics for it. I'm handy at maintenance stuff and do all my own work on my Duramax.

What do I need to do on this bad boy as far as filters and fluids go? Only lord knows when the PTO fluid and filter was changed. What parts do I need and how much fluid for the PTO and engine oil and filter?

The owners manual should have the information you've requested,fluid specs and amounts,service intervals,etc,as well as detailed instructions on performing the maintenance tasks.If you don't have one,I'd highly recommend getting it.About $20 at the dealer,or Messicks or Tractorsmart online-good dealers.Good Luck!

Sometimes you can get a service kit with all of the necessary fluids, filters and such, but I second the need for an Operators Manual which will detail the possible need to bleed the system when changing/cleaning fuel filters, location of all the drain plugs, brake adjustment procedures and the all important Maintenance Intervals. I am sure with this and your back ground you will have no problem servicing it, Good Luck.
