The valve controlling the crowd cylinder on my LW-6 oozes hydraulic fluid where the spool exits the valve body. The leak occurs whenever the PTO pump is running. I am not familiar with the construction of spool valves. Is this leak repairable? What is involved? I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Is it loose at all? On mine (different brand) there are o-rings behind the nut. I've had one loosen and blow the o-ring. I rough guess sized it up and replaced it w/ a new one from the hardware store. Re-tighten and all set.

shvl73,
There is no nut visable. I have a plate surronding the valve body. Maybe there is some sort of packing nut under that. I was hoping to get a reply from someone familiar with the Jinma setup before I go exploring.

This is the valve on a LW-6. Look at #8 in the attached pic.

Is #10 in the attached pic the plate you are referring to?

shvl73,

None of the photos shows the plate I am refering to. I'll try to post a picture tomorror. The plate is attached to the top of the valve body with two allen head screws.

I have an LG-6 (jinma) and I found a few of those allen nuts loose on inspection during assembly. Pictures would help also RonMar is very knowledgable on the hydraulics of the jinmas if he doesn't drop it I would pm him -Ed

Thanks to both of you. I will post a picture as soon as I can. Snow forcast for tomorrow so it will depend on the weather.

Just a thought, you might ask one of the mods if they could move this to the Chinese forum. You might get more exposure over there and there are guys that are really knowledgable.

shvl73,

Attached is a photo of the valve body, The tip of the screw driver points to the crowd valve where it oozes. The other valve in the picture is for the curl cylinder. The plate I mentioned can be seen also. It is held down by two allen screws.

How do I get this post moved to the Chineese section. It's a great idea, I just don't know how to do it.
