LTX 1042 KW totally dead

I started my mower today-gave it about half a minute to warm up and backed out of the garage. Applied pressure to the peddle to move forward and the mower stopped running. Completely dead! no reaction when the key is turned to any position-no indicator lights, no starter, no click-nothing! Battery is 6 weeks old, fully charged and reads 12.7 volts when tested. Any thoughts?

sounds like
1...a poor ground connection on the battery cable to the tractor frame or engine.
2... poor positive cable to starter connection

or 3.a popped fuse

One of the safety switches is defective or its condition not satisfied. This could be blade engagement or operator in seat. You may also not be depressing the brake / clutch far enough to be "seen" as depressed.

no headlights on would indicate a blown fuse.... i believe the fuse is located in the back left hand corner of the tractor, kind of under the battery/cup holder area.
