Given the focus in the blurp for the anticipated new X300R JD model in this country (sometime in Spring 2007) on increased blower and bagging abiltiy, and replacing the timing belt and offsetting the cutter blades,
Q1. Has anyone had difficulties with the LTR180 for material collection, particularly if damp or wet?
Q2. How easy or difficult is it to detach the deck on this model?
Q3. what advantages are there to this offsetting of blades? and elimiation of a timing belt?
I have a competitive price on a close out model; brief background: have acre site with 1/2 for lawn mowing -rear collect only- but want a pulling (5-6cwt) tractor and dump cart; could get cheaper european or store models, but whilst not able to reach on a Kubota GR2100 (my ideal), am trying to purchase best quality for fit for purpose situation. have considered and open to alternatives in 20hp Snapper YT2040 (same as Boron Simplicity), Husqvarna CTH180XP or CTH210XP range.
working assumptions have been to date:
twin over single cyl; Koher or Kaw over B&S; as heavy a chassis as possible for budget; cast iron axle; footpedal rather than side hand control; twin deck; 36-44" cutting width; deck wash ports not perceived as added attraction, but easy detach/attach critical, even if not patented Fast Attach features; must be able to pull up gentle inclines with 6-7 cwt in trailer.
