I've been having some trouble getting my mower to run this year, starting with some failing hoses. Cleaned the carb a few times, replaced the hoses, lost the spring to the fuel shutoff solenoid (don't do that, BTW $$), and now when I put it all back together, the throttle sticks at WOT.

It really seems like there is too much spring on the one side of one of the the linkage arms as there doesn't seem to be anything that would push or pull it back to closed when the lever is moved.

I didn't mess with the springs until this started happening, and I don't know what the problem is.

Can anyone offer any help?

Well, by now you've prolly learned that hard lesson about taking pix before/during/ after when taking apart a complicated setup.. but here's a long shot idea: get the engine numbers of the engine decal, go to the engine mfgr's website, d/l whatever info they have. You may get lucky and find detail on just what is involved on setting up thise components. Good luck.

Tried that already, no dice.

If someone has a mower where they could snap a few pics of the linkage, that would be great.

I've had the carb off a number of times already, and never had a problem. There really doesn't seem like there is any way to screw it up, as long as you don't start messing with that linkage. Guess that's just my luck.

Not sure if this will help but did you try going to partstree.com. They have detailed schematics which should show how the linkage needs to be connected.
