Is it me or is the tranny on my new CC LT1022 a dog? Maybe Im not used to having a hydrostatic tranny, Im not sure.

All I know is our property is flat, except for in the front yard, we have a very small rise from the road into a few sections of my property. The Cub can't make it up the small incline. It is no more than a foot or two rise, and not steep at all. It will stop as I try to go up it. I have to back up the other side of the divit and get some running speed. Plus it just seems to mow real slow, to me.

It also comes out of a turn really, really slow. I know its a hydrostatic, but maybe its how they are.

I cut once with the JD 110 before I returned it to the dealer. That thing seemed to move a lot quicker and it rolled right up that problem area I have.

I am not impressed if this is how the thing operates. It seems to cut the grass fine, but the speed issue sucks.

Anyone else familar with this? I wonder if CC has a 30 day return policy? I doubt it.

Called out the service guy...a belt had slipped a pully, so I was only getting part power basically.

Yes it would, lol. I didn't even bother to check it out myself as I had just bought it and knew it was under warranty.

I just have to make sure it doesn't happen again or there could be a bigger problem. Hopefully it was a one time glitch. I've only mowed three times, and I think it was like that the whole time.

i have the 1022. it's about two weeks old. gald to see it was something simple. i have some steep hills and it goes up them with no probs. it's not fancy like the higher model cub cadets but its great for the money.

Man did it make a difference. The few little "hills" we do have are no problem now. It mows great. Sometimes I wish it would go a bit faster but its not bad.
