Hey guys,
I'm looking for a bagger for my JD LT150 w/42c deck.Have any of you gone this route? What would you recomend? I've seen some that have blowers too, is this nescissary? I appreciate your input, thanks.

The rear bagger on our mower in general works as advertised. Its the unassisted variety. I think the 42" deck is the maximum size JD offers the unassisted rear bagger for.

If you're wanting to cut wet/long grass or use it to pick-up large leaves in the fall, be prepared to unclog the chute leading to the bags. Going slow helps aleviate the problem, but you'll get frustrated if you're in a hurry.

MY GT 225 has the 42" deck with 7.5 bu. bagger. Works well as long as the grass is not wet or long. I got mine last year for ~$280. The Spring I asked the dealer about one for my Dad's 160 and they told me ~$320.

Same as stated above, most baggers don't work when grass is wet. But my unassisted bagger works fine on my LT180 with a 42" deck. Just make sure you run it full RPM. BTW, I have a mixture of dirt, rocks, bermuda and weeds for now.

JD bagger like mine here
