LT 1045 transmission belt replace help

I have an LT 1045 with a little over 200 hours on it, and the transmission belt shredded while mowing Saturday.
Went to TSC where I bought the tractor and they did not stock this belt, had to special order it. I thought it was kinda strange as they must have sold thousands and thousands of that model. Anyway, the belt will be in later this week and I could use any advice from your experience in replacement. It is a 2009.

well, not too usual for that particular belt to fail. And not too easy to replace. If you're not the shadetree mechanic type, take it to a qualified shop.
OTW, drop the deck, get yer troublelite, take a bunch of "before"pixs, d/l the cub service manual that details how to go about changing out that belt.
To get that serv manual get the full technical model number and serial number of the tractor's ID plate located in the cavity under the tilting seat; google "mtd manual archives", enter data, d/l free serv manual if avail. good luck.

PS: ck for tranny cooling fan damage, etc while up under there... mighty easy for associated damage to occur when that belt was disintegrating...

For starters if you had googled that belt you will find it online half price over local. And you can find free shipping. Just make sure it is Kevlar.
I changed the drive belt on my SLT 1550 and was surprised how easy it was.
Remove the deck, unplug, unbolt and remove the clutch, check for the repair manuals for routing. Relax the idler pulley for final install.
