My ls4140 had a rattling (buzzing sound) at different engine revs' that was very annoying. The fix was very easy but not very obvious at first. The sound was like lead shot vibrating on a glass plate. My first guess was the throttle linkage inside the dash and this was only partially the fault. My next attempt revealed the full and low throttle stops which are an upper and lower limit pins that the throttle lever contacts at the extremes. The fix was to smear a bit of RTV over the ends of each pin.It is necessary to only remove the RH side access panel and reach up to where the throttle lever pivots on it's mount.
