LS XR4155 absolutely no power

   / LS XR4155 absolutely no power #11
I'm not sure I completely understand the issue here. The OP was driving his new (to him) tractor a few miles down the road to his friends house, did some work, and was driving home. Lost some power, had to shift down, but got it home.

Am I understanding the circumstances??

This sounds like his friend lives a bit downhill from him. Going home, going uphill, you will need to shift down.

My tractor is gear driven. When I'm on the road, I'm in Range 4, Gear 1 starting out. And I shift up to R4, G4 as I accelerate. But once I hit a hill, the engine will bog down causing me to downshift. The tractor by itself is heavy, my tires are filled, and usually there is a heavy implement on the back. That little 45hp (in the OP's case, 55hp) is not exactly a powerhouse to climb hills with heavy loads.

I guess, the better question for the OP is: How is running at home?
