As was discussed in another post, LS has moved their parts dept. into a different facility in North Carolina. The move was supposed to take a couple weeks, but ended up taking a couple months due to some difficulties. Then NC was hit with hurricanes and tornadoes. Port strikes are gonna make things worse. Almost every company I do business with has some issues getting certain things for a variety of reasons. I'd like to think they're full of crap too, but it's getting worse in this global economy and there's nothing I can do about it but be frustrated and wait, or find another supplier like Bobrown14 said. I waited for a bearing for weeks from John Deere only to be told that now they couldn't get it at all. I went to a local supplier about 7 miles away that sells bearings, seals, pulleys, belts, chain, etc. and they matched it and had it right there in stock for 1/4 the price. If it was that easy for me to get in 15 minutes , why was it not available through John Deere? Nobody could explain it to me. Weird supply chain issues. A local tractor dealer just had new tractors delivered to them with temporary steel wheels because there's a tire shortage again like when covid screwed everything up a couple years ago. I thought he was full of crap too until I saw them myself. Another local company just built a big new shop and the building has been sitting for 5 weeks with no doors on it because the builder can't get the doors because of back orders. They boarded up the new building and can't use it yet. A friend has been waiting for a month for parts for his truck and the dealer has no idea when he will get his truck back. This is getting scary.
