LS Tractor Oil, Gas, & Air Filter Information

Just coming up on 50 hours on my XR4145. Went to the dealer for the filters, and he told me that they are having trouble getting the engine oil filters for the new, Tier 4 LS engine. He only had one oil filter and it was $28. That's an awful lot for a filter in my opinion. He hasn't been able to source any other filter as a replacement. The LS part number is 40006986. Looking around a little, I can't seem to find any info on that filter at all. Does anyone else have any info on these filters?

Wix /Napa has a cross for your tractor...I use wix, Don t have a local Napa, they can cross all your filters except the prefuel filter , you can get that one from a NewHolland dealer , same part number as your LS tractor

Are non LS filters ok to use and not void the warranty? And anyone have any info on the newer LS engines in the xr4100 series?

As long as they have a cross they are ok to use wix /Napa is what I use , the only filter I can't get from wix is the prefuel filter i get mine from a New Holland dealer same part number as LS

I'm going to get a filter tomorrow for my XR3037HC. It uses the same 40283380 filter. Cross references are Wix 57000, NAPA 7000, Fram 3614. Which filter I get will depend on what the parts store has in stock.

Wix and Napa are made by the same factory

Any problems? I'm hearing that the (oil) filter for your machine and my machine may be the same. I have an XR3135H and having a hard time finding an aftermarket oil filter. Sounds like you scored but did it work?

Wix.com will have a cross for most of your oil filters (Napa brand is wix they will be able to cross also) fuel filter New Holland dealer will have it same part number as LS

Ok..... So for us that have the newer XR4100 series engines, I've done a ton for searching and cross referencing online. The LS part number for the newer 3cyl turbo engines is 40006986. That cross references to a Case # of MT40006986 which we can get at Messick's for $17 which is for the Boomer 40 (2017 version with the same engine as our XR4100 series)

That same number cross references to a bunch of other part numbers mostly for Kia's and Hyundai's with a MANN Filter part Number W830/3 Olejovy filtr MANN-FILTER W 83�/3 Autodily PEMA

That number in turn cross references to a NAPA Gold part number of 107426 Oil Filter (Gold) FIL 1�7426 | Buy Online - NAPA Auto Parts

which in turn goes to a Wix part number of WL7426

which I was able to find at Rockauto for $6.40 WIX WL7426 Oil Filter | RockAuto

does anyone have the gas pre-filter part number to use at New Holland for the XR4145H? (also, where is it? ) all I see is what I assume is the main filter that has the 2 fuel lines going to it with sensor on the bottom.

For my XG3037 it was located on the lower left side near the rear of the engine (closest to the cab). NH part #MT40279917.

To cross LS to Case or New Holland change the prefix from LS to MT. Not sure about Kubota

I have the 4155 and I don't have a pre fuel filter,only the main filter
