I was quoted 27250 for a LS 5020 cab with loader.
Does this seem reasonable?
Is there room to negotiate with LS dealers?
Thanks

There is almost always room to negotiate with any dealer. I dont know what the 5020 cab models cost. I paid $36K for my 7010C 14 months ago which I think is the next size up. I do believe that there are some 5020 owners here that might advise you. I think the cabs add about $4500 to the price.

I see in an earlier post that TBN member Toxicjeeper bought a 5020C but no price mentioned. He was Canadian and most prices are a bit higher there. Post was only 2 or 3 responses. Try PM to him and see if he responds. You can go back and search all LS post and see what else if there if no one comes in on this one.

Dang. Wish I was in NC. I was quoted $30K and change for a 5020 without cab! Price to pay for living in Alaska. Are you buying there in NC?

I paid 31,000 for mine with a cab. Like Gary mentioned that is in Canadian dollars...In hind sight i wish i had of worked getting the tires filled into the deal;)

I also bought a 78 inch econor blower( which i probably wayyy overpaid for) for around 4500. Sure am glad i got it cause we still havent got a snow storm of any decent amount yet..LOl

That seems like a good price with a cab. We are on track for a record year of snow here. Work all day and plow snow all night it seems like lately.

I am about a week away on pushing the go button on my new LS, just trying to decide on the 4047 or the 5020. I have not seen a 5020 in person. Any have any thoughts on the difference between the two or first hand experience?

If you don't mind me asking, where in Canada ddi you buy your machine? I am looking at maybe even driving into Canada to buy my machine if the price is right. The dealer search button on the LS sight is either not user friendly or it's operator error on my part, probably both.

We only have one local dealer, who is very helpful, but if I can save a several thousand dollars a drive would be worth it to me.

I am from New brunswick. On the east coast. My reasoning for the 5020 was pretty simple. It had bigger rams(actually measured them in the parking lot), more metal, 2 rear remotes and weighed more than the others. I know i didnt want the 70xx series cause of its size but i did notice the front axle was bigger.

I only have under 100 hours on mine..Most of it digging fill in the pit and moveing it around...Kinda wish i had of bought the old beat up backhoe instead cause i do alot of digging in my gravel pit. However, we usually get some decent snow here and i love haveing a snowblower..wayyy better than pushing with the bucket..

If you want to use your current implements I would go with a 5020 or maybe even a 5030

I bought econ 84" blower for my 7010 2 years ago now ToxicJeeper, I think I paid around $4500 too, but no tax on deal. So I don't think you overpaid too much, although all blowers are overpriced anyway. No snow here yet although I used it yesterday for first time this year.

I went ahead and ordered a 5020 today. Should be here in two weeks or less. Got the hard top but not the cab along with some skid steer implements and a heavy duty box blade. Won't be able to do much but move hay and snow for a while but when spring hits I should be able to get er dirty.

I looked at the 4047 but the 5020 was just heavier built.

I went by the NH dealer today and after comparing the same HP side by side there was no real comparison. LS is way more tractor for the money.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure most of us LS owners felt the same we we chose LS over the other options out there. Congrats and welcome to the club! Pics are nice, even before you have a chance to get "down and dirty".

I am sure you will like the the 5020. I have the 5030 which I believe
is the same tractor only with a few more horses. I have put 260 hours
on it since last January with no problems.

My tractor is being shipped this way tomorrow morning so in the next 10 days I should see it. I will send pics as soon as I get it here. We have alot of snow this year, on track for a record, so there will be lots to shovel when she gets here!

Went ahead and also decided to get a grapple bucket. I have spent countless hours trying to get brush loaded in the bucket before and I am ready to do more moving of brush and logs and less handling of them.
