LS paint

   / LS paint #11
has anyone tried the Magic Ford/NH blue paint that some of the box stores like Tractor Supply sells? just curious. I have a few implements that could use a paint job, and now that I have a new LS, I may buy a quart of it and try spraying one of them and see how close it comes. Should be close enough on an implement, but what about for touch up?
no, I haven't scratched it.....yet..... :D

I painted my mower and box blade with the Majic paint. Takes forever to dry completely. You can handle it in a few hours, but it was probably a month before it hardened enough not to scratch. Now it is great, tough paint. As far as a match to LS blue, it is definitely darker but a good match. If I was to do over, the Rustoleum safety blue is the closest match.

I got my LS grill guard scanned at Sherwin-Williams before doing a major modification to it.

Here’s the formula. It’s a perfect match.

How well did the gloss match?

When I traded my XR4046HC in on my new XR4155HC, I kept my modified grill guard and dealer put the new guard on my old tractor. Dealer said my paint job was better than the Factory paint on the new guard. Is it as shiny as the hood? Nope.

I wonder how "universal" those paint codes are.....although we do have a sherwin williams paint store here....

No clue but ..... if you have a SW why risk it?
