125 hours or use, garage kept…runs like a top.

I greased everything up yesterday, blew out the radiator and went to work.

it was cool out, so it took a while for me to turn the ac on. When I did, I noticed it was on setting 1, but no air was blowing out of any vent. Moved to setting 2, still nothing, setting 3, nothing. Setting 4…air came out full blast and was COLD. I spent the next 5 hours cycling the ac from off to setting 4 and getting too cold too quick.

has anyone had this happened or have any clue what to look at to remedy this?

Thanks,

Bill

It's most likely either the fan switch it's self or there is a separate resistor for the fan speeds. When the resistor burns out or breaks often all that works is the high speed as it is direct wired and doesn't go thru the resistor.

Can adjust the temp to add in some warm then you can leave the AC running full with cold + warm to keep it comfortable without having to turn the fan off.

I do this in the winter when snow pushing - keeps the windows from condensating and I can see out all the windows.

Fan switch is the culprit as mentioned.
