I didn't think the 35 micron mini fuel filter on my 25hp Mitsubishi motor was good enough. So I upgraded it to a 2 micron CAT type filter. I posted a video on it.

Nice install. My only concern would be losing the water separating function from the OEM filter.
I added the same CAT filters to my zero turn diesels. One I sold with 1500 hours or so on the machine. I had to install an additional electric diaphragm pump because I left the (2) OEM cartridge filters in place. The other machine is pushing 1600h with the 2u filter, and for this install I removed one of the OEM filters and didn't need an additional electric diaphragm pump.
I believe they flow 35 gph, so more than enough for tractors and mowers.
I plan to add one to my tractor soon, but will leave the OEM water separator in place with the 2u CAT filter immediately up stream.
