LS MT125 wheel lug bolt upgrade

I hope this helps others out. No idea why wheels with tapered holes would have standard bolts with only lock washers. I found a Kubota part number that is conical wheel studs. I bought 20 from my local dealer for 36$, and they fit perfect with my LS MT125 rear wheels. Have not tried the front yet, I know the thread size is same and not sure if the wheel hole is tapered.

Thanks for the information. This was a well discussed topic six months ago or so and it was never resolved on this forum. A lot of folks were looking for conical wheel bolts that would work and I believe it was determined the thread pitch was something odd. But glad you found something that fits and works. I might head to my Kubota dealer who is close by and buy one and check it out.

I remember seeing that thread, some people were ok with the regular bolts. I was worried when I removed a wheel and the tapered hole in the wheel had damage from where the split in the lock washer locked in and gouged the steel.

I think your absolutely correct Don, I don't understand why LS delivered the machines like that. Still gotta get to Kabota and check it out. I will upgrade too. Besides you don't have to fuss with washers.
