Anyone got any good sources for Low 0-3000 or 0-4000 RPM tachs. Must be electronic (signal from coil).
Working on this IH 300, it was converted to 12v and lost the tach drive. Would like to have a good tach. 3-3/8" hole.
Was doing some searching, and Datcon seems to be recommended frequently and there are some on ebay, but the part numbers dont jive with the part listings I can find from datcon. Some of their tachs feed off a magnetic pickup on the flywheel, or off the alternator or generator dignal for diesels. I dont want that. The one in specific I saw on ebay is datcon PN 103734, but cannot find that parn number anywhere else. So not sure of the size or how it is fed.
Any other good sources or brands for a tach. I am sure I am not the only one with a 12v converted old tractor.
