Low HP forage harvester

Anyone got experience with single row, 3pt forage harvesters in the 40-60hp range?

We have a 1 row Vicon that we pulled with 95hp, but you were supposed to be able to use it with a 50 to 60 hp tractor. We now use a 2 row and the 1 row is just sitting there. Not much of a market around here for forage harvesters.

We run a 5' flail type crop chopper behind a 45 hp tractor, mowing grass. I have hauled it with my Farmall H at 26 hp but takes low gear. We use a couple of small feed wagons, if you are hauling large forage wagons or dump wagon it will require more HP as well. Also the flail choppers don't chop as fine but they do mow the crop so it saves a pass. Are you making silage or direct feeding the crop?

I may feed some greenchop, but my intention is to make silage. I would load the forage into the bunker from the wagon. I'm not using a bagger.
