Yes, the free cylinder moves first. If you have ever tried to hook up a traditional loader bucket, you would see this happen.

A. Two doctors in a Bonanza.

Hey Ken, Did Terry tell you to try and crack the seal on the tractor before taking it off? Guess having the bolts through makes it an easier field repair...

What Ken said plus the hydraulic fluid is not under much pressure until it pushes the cylinder with the least resistance to the end, and then it starts to push the next least resistant component in the circuit until it gets to the stops, and then the relief kick in, and you know you are at max pump/relief pressure.

Hi Carl,

No he didn't but i had come to the conclusion that was the easiest way. As far as I can tell, you use a large pipe wrench? I did not feel any holes for a spanner wrench. The quick attach cylinders use large nuts.

Yup. and you will mar the outside of the tubes but it appears to not harm the guts... You may be able to do a "field repair" although knowing you you will build some sort of tarped off section in your garage, get a special aircleaner and get the dust down to iintegrate circuit quality level, then pull it apart ;-)

Hi Carl,

Actually, now that you mention it, i do have a HEPA filtration unit (brand new) used for some huge printer operation. I bought it at an auction where it was sold as a large vacuum pump which i needed at work at the time. But the item was not as described to say the least. It was a friend's auction so i did not say anything. Found out later it has a 50 Hz 3 phase rotary converter as part of it which is worth more than what i paid. Now if I just would put it up on Ebay....

One day your wife is going to look at your credit card bill and close your ebay account...

You know there are a number of Ebay Anonymous help sites...

When I buy something, it is almost always a "deal" so i tell my wife we are saving so much money that soon we will be rich!!! lol

Fittings should be here today. The rebuild kits came yesterday. It surprises me that the machined pistons cost the same as the o-rings.

I plan on using medium strength locktite on the fasteners for the pistons. I would not have thought the pistons were a common wear item. But i suppose hydraulic fluid leaking by could wear them.
