Lost my steering today, tub failure

The plate I added was under the tub and it covered the drain hole. As for the height of the bracket, it is the same as stock. I did not cut the bracket ears from the old plate I just trimmed up the ragged plate around the ears. Hope that is clearer. I would send a picture but I am traveling just now and can't.

Here are a few pics of the repair. Glad to have it back after a few days down, put her to the test last night and all is well for now. I should have cleaned out the tub better but I was anxious to get back to the job.
