Apparently the nut on my left lift pin of the rotary cutter came off. Lost the lift pin. Attached are pictures. Have it on a Harbor Freight Quick Hitch. Think the quick hitch kept the left side from dropping all the way because its middle hook kept the middle up.
Wasn't sure the two orange pieces would line up easily on the left side. My wife was able to get them lined up and located a smaller pin that was big enough to allow me to lift it with the tractor to place my 2x6 dolly underneath to remove it from the QH and bring it back and inch or so, leaving the PTO on.
Got the $25 worth of parts at TSC: pin incl. lock washer and nut, cat 1 to 2 bushing, cat 2 to 3 bushing, retainer clip on end like right side and a 7/8 inch washer.
Put back on this afternoon and used my new click type torque wrench set at about 210 ft #. Retorqued the right side, too. It was not up to that torque.
Note to self: retorque every year when I put the bush hog back on.
Looked all over where I'd mowed and could not locate the missing parts.
I've been away from here for a while.
