I have a Ford 5000 and the power steering fluid is disappearing. No leaks anywhere. All hoses are tight. Usually put about half a litre in everytime I want to use it. Have notice that the engine oil is up about an inch, above full. If the fluid is leaking into the crankshaft, how to I correct the problem.
Tks, Mousy

I think you are right. Sounds like the power steering fluid is leaking into your engine oil. You would have to fix the seals to slow down the leaking?

Moved to NH/Ford forums.... you'll probably get better results here.

Could be leaking into your engine, but also check your hydraulic level on the transmission. I had a NH Workmaster 60 that was loosing power steering fluid, about a quart per hour and found it was in my transmission. The WM series has both pumps together separated by a seal if I remember correctly.
