Loose Trans Belt LX277

Won't go forward or reverse. Trans Belt is hanging loose. Also noticed a brief burning smell right before this happened. Does this sound like a simple belt replacement or something more serious. Have a call into the dealer.

Probably a belt, and the idler pulleys. One of them may have failed, and burned up the belt.

Depending on the model, changing the "traction drive" belt can be a bit of a chore.

It turned out to be a bad pulley. Belt was acutually still good. Part was under $20, rest was labor.
