My low houred John Deere 850 has a bunch of slack in the steering. You can turn the wheel half a turn before it actually moves the front tires. Does anyone know of an adjustment to remove this slack?
Do you have power steering? If not, then I would guess either loose tie rod ends or a loose steering gear that might be able to be adjusted. If you do have power steering, there are several more areas to look at.
