I have a 3550 PST. I did some thorough reading and cross referencing when I did my 50 hr service. Most of the oils in the owners manual are not common here in the US. I only run synthetics in my vehicles and equipment. I also compare the specs (oil rating, the specs from the testing they do to give it a certain grade, and the chemical make up) of the oils I'm considering, name brand or not.
I ended up with NAPA Premium Heavy Duty Tractor Hydraulic & Transmission Fluid (PN 85-405); meets or exceeds all of the Mahindra trans and wet brake requirements. NAPA is a pretty common chain, and I prefer their products over many others.
I did the engine oil and front axle oil at 50hrs and again went with a top grade synthetic.
Mobil Delvac Extreme 15w-40 Premium Synthetic Blend for the Engine.
Mobil Delvac 1 Gear Oil 75w-90 Full Synthetic for the Front Axle.
Oh, and for filters at my 50hr mark, I went with factory Mahindra filters from the dealer. I think I only found one of them that I could cross reference to another brand (probably was the engine oil filter). All filters were easily sourced from the dealer and the price was comparable to any other brand or buying it offline. At the very most, Next time I may look in to cross referencing the engine filter to a new style synthetic media filter, but the standard cellulose filters have obviously worked just fine for decades.
I plan to do a write up of my service in the future too with a bunch of pics; just been too busy.
