Looking to Buy - MF 261 vs. MF 271-x...

Will be looking at a MF 261 tractor and also a 271-X tractor in the next few days...

I did a search on the forum but could not find a topic on either of these two tractors...

Is there reason for concern here on these two models that I am unaware of..??? By chance, are these models "Not Wurfa's" or are they just newer models whcih don't peak much interest..???

What does the "X" stand for or mean after the 271 model..???

Any and all information would be appreciated...

The 200 series, I am almost certain were Coventry, UK built. They have evolved in to what is now the 500 series.

How may hours on them??

Both tractors are under 600 hours and both are original owner tractors...

I'm not having a warm fuzzy feeling about these particular models...

Is there any kind of stigma associated with these UK built tractors that I should be aware of..???

Don't worry about those old 200 series tractors. Good, old technology equipment. The X is a designation of where it was built. That's when the larger 200's started being built in Brazil I think. Many 200 series around here. Cheap, reliable, easy to work on horsepower.
