Oh /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Like Don said, check e-bay. I know when I did my Google search, a bunch of hits showed up that showed you could buy these products on e-bay.

Good luck. I hope you find them soon, cause I'm interested in how you're going to modify them to be used on your tractor! Do you think you'll need to add any remotes for the additional power the clippers will take? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Hair Cutting While Tractoring

Be careful that the hyd hoses don't get caught in the steering wheel while operating.

Don, I see the many listings on ebay but I don't know enough about the brands and models to verify the quality. I did a search for 'beauty supply' and found a few located near me. I'll see if I can get some recommendations there.

I once had to go to the 'cake supply' store for my wife, so I guess I can manage a trip to the 'beauty supply'.

Try www.wahl.com They have been around 80 or so years and make like 40 different models. If you have ever opened a Hobby Farmer magazine or seen the ad with three sheep with MoHawks that is the Wahl ad. They have models for vets and groomers. Should work equally well on kids, apes or sheep /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Dave

Don't have any advice concerning hair care.

However, JD Green helps anyone look good while tractoring! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

How about a New Holland blue tux with a white tie. Now that would make you a really snazzy looking tractor driver along with your natural good looks. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif A fresh hair cut with your new sheep shears and you would have to carry a stick to fend off the women. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

My wife's been cutting my hair with Wahl clippers from Wal-Mart for more than 3 years. Since the clippers only cost $21.95 plus tax in January, 2000, I reckon we've gotten our money's worth from them. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Of course there's nothing "thick" about my hair.

I used to sell the Oster clippers for dog grooming. Just remember, that like tractors, you get what you pay for. If you want detachable blades and a variety of them, the clipper and blades will cost more than what you will find at Wally World and the like. No matter what clipper you purchase, if you don't wash and dry the hair first, the clipper is going to go dull. Also, as mentioned, get a can of Oster Lube, spray disinfectant, and most important, a can of Oster Cool Lube. Spray the clippers whenever they are getting warm. Heat is the death of a clipper blade and the sharpening of them is an art. Many times a sharpened blade is better than new and other times, it is no good at all. All depends on the skill of the person doing the work. Also, the best tools in the world are no better than the cheapest if the hands that operate them don't know how.... Clippers made for horses are different than those for sheep, and sheep clippers are different than dog clippers. Get the clippers that are designed for human hair and you won't be disappointed. If you would like a poodle cut, let me know and I will do my best on you.........LOL..... I have known people to use dog clippers on humans and the only detrimental effect was that they started to chase cars after the hair cut....... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
