looking for off-road diesel 60 miles E of Atlanta

Anybody know where I can purchase small quantities of dyed diesel east of Atlanta? (around mile marker 138 on I-20) I found a place in Union Point, but their minimum is 50 gallons. I also found a place in Social Circle, but that is a long way away.

I have a place in Rutledge and only know of the place in Social Circle. Try asking the JD dealer in Madison.

Do what I did and call local home heating companies. Most of them offer red dyed fuel. To get the very best price, you usually need to buy in bulk. Get a 55 gallon drum, put it in a pickup and go get if filled. A cheap pump from Harbor Freight or Tractor Supply Company of the like will make everything easy to do, and you'll have plenty of fuel when you need it. The price will go up, and you'll still be saving $$. If you're going to keep it a very long time, there is a slight chance of contamination from bacteria, but biocides can be added. I've had some for as long as 8 months in humid Florida, and still no problems and no treatment. John

If someone held me a gunpoint I don't think I could buy home heating oil anywhere in GA. We just don't have those type heat systems here. My brother up in CT does.but here it is heat pumps, natural gas or LP.....

Surely there are a few farmers out there in Oconee Co. that use off-road in their tractors. Or just ask at a gas station where the distributor is.

Oh yeah, I can buy off road diesel at the local gas station all day long. The part of town he is in, which is about an hour from me, I have no idea where to buy it.
I run off road diesel in my YM 1500D exclusively.......

The suggestion to buy home heating oil was the one I found sllightly amusing, I don't think there is an oil fired furnace in the entire state of Georgia....

Find a farmer
Buy your fuel from him;
Or have your container there so it can be filled when they deliver the farmers fuel.

How about starting a CO OP of tractor owners and have bulk fuel delivered to the co op for the members.

1*No problem -What you want is off road diesel anyway.
2*But you can bet Ga. farmers aren't using or paying for on road diesel to run their tractors.
Get your fuel where the farmers do or buy it from them.
