my mower is in good shape would like to trade for new one have some steep ground but present mowers dose good job, has tiller attachment , has been garage kept all its life
If you're mowing steep ground, you'll want a garden tractor with differential lock and wheel weights. Don't go cheap. Id recommend an x-500 at minimum.
I agree with GreenRules....the X500 with the diff.lock is the way to go. It is too bad that JD does not offer the locking diff. on the X300 series. The X700 series also adds shaft drive as well. All are very nice machines if you have hills on your property.
Go get yourself an x-749 with a 60in deck and be done with it. Then in say 25years when that one is just about ready for a rebuild sell it and repeat..........KJD
