Looking for Key - 1600d

Dont know if anyone can steer me to where I can locate a key to a Yanmar 1600d 2 cyl tractor? If not Ill install an aftermarket switch which I have instock-Thanks

It's certainly not a definitive answer for your search for a YM1600, but, maybe to give you some ideas for possible searches further afield, the key for my YM2220 and my neighbor's key for his JD850 are completely interchangeable. His key will start my tractor, and my key will start his.

john Deere can supply you with a key i bought spares for my tractors there. 6 dollars for two.

If it's the small key like most YM1600"s have, I don't think that you will find a new key. Are you sure it's a D?

According to info Ernie gave me, Yanmar keys are universal. Know when I lost mine, he just grabed a key out of a box and it worked.

They are universal per model, but I believe there are 3 different types of Yanmar keys.

I have heard that there is a key for 2 cyl and a key for 3 cyl and a key for 4 cyl. but my 2cly 2000 and 4cyl fx28 are interchangable. also the key intented for the 28 is a JD key, but no number on it.
