2008 JD 2320
I have been researching my options for a TLB for quite some time now and it appears I am leaning towards JD. I have been looking at the 2305 or maybe the 2320. I have been to a local delaer here a couple of times, but they were closed so I only had the opportunity to look at a 2305 which is outside. It has the 200CX Loader on it, but no Hoe. It doesn't appear they have a 2320 on the lot. I'm sure I could ask the dealer these questions, but I thought you guys might be a better source.

Now the questions:

1.. Does anyone have any pictures of either the 2305 or the 2320 with the BH mounted?
2.. Are the BH's just Woods mounted models?
2.. How does the BH seat work?
3.. How do they compare to the BX24 and the others?

I really like the integrated setup fo the BX24 and the GC2310. I am hoping the JD offers the same. I like JD and I am leaning hard this way as if I buy one in the US, I can still keep my warranty here in Canada from what I hear. I have not priced out the JD here locally but if it is like the local Kubota and Massey dealers I have checked with so far, buying in the US will save me $4000-$6000 with the price difference.

Please feel free to offer any imput.

Cheers,

1) I will take some lower pixel pictures, and post them in a few days, of my new 2320 with hoe.
2) Hoe is not Woods & I am told it is made by Deere here in the states. It is frame mounted and comes off pretty easy.
3) The seat flips up and latches out of the way. Where I have my driver seat set, I have to flip it up to lower the hoe seat into operating position.
4) Don't know, but believe the BX24 is considered a subCUT as is the 2305. The 2320 is a larger frame.

You can see this @ John Deere 2000 Compact Utility Tractors
I think I like the JD 2305 overthe BX24. One nice thing is you can buy a 2305 now and add the hoe later, unlike the kubota. with Kubota if you want a factory hoe setup you have to buy it now as a BX24. If you buy a 2350 you would have to go with a woods hoe, and nothing wrong with that either. Just not factory setup.
My problem is trying to find a deal on the JD.

I have had it since June. I purchased it from Shaw;s Ridge Equipment in Ossipee N.H. They were great to deal with. Fair with the price. Actually it was painless and fun. I don't have the exact number here but with mower deck + hydro lift and TLB aproximately 19K . Believe it or not the tractor was bought to mow grass on sandy soil and to have a bucket to clean up around the 6 acres. Slope to pond makes 4x4 necessary for cleanup work. Long story about the Backhoe which I love. Think of it as a big shovel and no back pain. If I did not have to mow with it sure I would have gone bigger probably 2520. Bigger is better right ? Maybe not in my case but I am learning. I have nothing against the bigger machines I like them too. Does the 2305 do the job ? Yes more than I would have thought. It fits in the garrage. Allows a car to fit beside it. I can tow it behind a 1/2 ton pickup. I haven't yet but will. It more than fits my needs and space. At this point I would not trade up as it more than handles what I do. The only mistake I made was waiting years to buy it. Trust me it was a mistake to wait. I have been looking since the 4115 ,2210 days. When it arrived I did more work in three days pain free than I could have done in weeks by hand. I would buy the 2305 again if that helps.

roadkill- where in ct are you?

I purchased a 2320 in jan 07 and absolutely love it!. I looked at the Kiotis, kubotas, and NH as well but the fit and finish and layout of the JD is just far beyond the others plus i grew up with JDs anyways. Sometimes i wish i purchaed the 2520 but have not yet run into anything the 2320 cant do. I use it on my 3 acres for mowing grass with a 60 rear discharge mower, mulch, moving rocks, moving dirt, grading, plowing snow, etc. I do not have the backhoe though so i can comment on that. I chose the 2320 over the 2305 because its more tractor like with better ground clearance. looking at a 2305 next to a 2320 is like wow in size, although the 2305 basicall does everything the 2320 does... just personal choice.
