Grapple Looking for information on a block and tackle

I have a neighbor who pulled my tractor out of a bog using a block and tackle. The diameter of the pulleys are about 12 inches and the cable about 1 inch thick. Does anybody know where these might be sold?

you can probably buy a cheap 8000 electric winch for the price of a good Crosby block and tackle or chain fall. It would be a lot handier for other jobs as well...

Ours has really been helpful for us in numerous situations...

Then you just need the auxiliary cables, straps, or chains to make the hook-up between whatever you're pulling and anchor points.

I have a Chance hoist that I put 25' of load chain on about forty years ago. Only 1 Ton, but there have been a few times when its saved the bacon, despite currently having 3- 8000lb winches to choose from, along with another four smaller ones.

A Hy-Lift Jack and a chain will also work to get you unstuck.

And can lift your car, truck or tractor too- if the ground is firm enough to hold it... This can be helpful at times to put materials underneath the tires to add traction.

Also it can be less of a PITA to work with than the cable puller, though it moves less each time before resetting.

Unfortunately I never think of it for that....
