As a new member to this forum I would like to say I have been around tractors all my adult life. I am now retired on a small block (45ac) of dirt with which I hope to keep myself occupied, fencing and just developing to a useable standard to run some animals at a later stage. I currently own a Fordson Super Dexta which is a great little tractor, but I am hoping to upgrade to something with 4WD & a FEL. As I have a stuffed back I find the joys of lifting fence posts etc, are almost beyond my ability, hence the search for a tractor with FEL.
I am currently looking at a Kubota M4950 4WD with Cabin (A/C no longer fitted) with FEL & Std Bucket, Pallet Forks, and a Blade which can be reversed (turned over) to use as a Root Rake. It all appears to be what I am looking for, this is why I have joined this Forum to seek other peoples ideas and past experiences with this model tractor.
Having worked around Earthmoving Equipment all my working life I have a fair range of experience with "big" machinery mainly Cat & Komatsu, but my exposure to tractors in the 50-100hp range has not been as extensive as I would like, although over the years I have farmed with my Parents using a Farmall M (It was a long time ago with the Farmall, I think it was an M, it had the Dual/Tricycle Rubber tyres on the front and Steel/Spike Wheels on the rear), TEA20 Fergy's, and JD 2010 & 2130 (2010 had a Under Axle Blade on the front which was transferred to the 2130 when we "Upgraded").
I am basically looking for a tractor 50-100hp preferably with A/C Cabin (To keep me away from Poison's when spraying Lantana etc), 4WD (it can get a bit wet/soft here), FEL with 4in1 Bucket, Pallet Forks, Blade/Root Rake Combo.
