Hi there,

I'm thinking of posting my Ford 8' back blade for sale but I don't know much about it. It's been sitting here in our barn (my dad's family's old farm) for many years. I'm 45 and only recall seeing it used once as a kid (assuming it's the same blade). Looks to be all there with pins and all. I moved it where it is now from the front of the barn years ago but used chains on the backhoe to move it vs putting it on the 3 point of our Kubota. At the time, the blade did seem to spin a bit (I think you can change angle, but it's manual as I don't see any hydraulics). Looking straight down from the top, there's one "arm" that attaches to make a triangle and I think that's how you lock in the angle you want it at.

Can anyone tell me more about it?

thanks in advance!

Looks like you can off set it to the side, rotate the blade down on one side (plus the normal adjustments). Nice blade, most likely good heavy iron... would take a 45 (?) hp tractor to use it. Someone could add hydraulics to it but is fine the way it is, Manual adjustments.

Ah so you could do some shallow trenching with it! Good to know. Do you know about what would be a good price? I was thinking of listing it at $200.

I'll take it. Where are you located?

Northeast PA

Ideally looking to get feedback. Had a farmer friend just tell me closer to $500. I don't want to go nuts with it, just don't want to send it to scrap or anything.

Go nuts! If you don't get any takers at $500 then drop the price. That's a nice light duty blade that would be ideal for snow plowing!

Too far away for me.

I would buy that in a heart beat for $200, and I already have 2 rear blades!!!

You could get more like $700 but it might take a while. $500 would sell in a week around here...

I’m pretty sure that’s a older Landpride manufactured for ford blade. I had a landpride 96” 35 series that was pretty much identical, bought new in about 1995 750.00. About 2 years ago i traded back in to the same salesman on 8’ landpride 37series rake , he gave me 1k trade in for it. It was in real good condition and a new comparable blade was about 2k. Has the cutting edge been flipped to it’s 2nd side?

For giggles I got it out of the barn with the backhoe and was able to find the plate on it. It's a Ford 785a. Component #19arm107 serial #wd11394.

Would love to know the age of it.

Pins all move freely so a friend is coming down tonite with his tractor so we can hitch it up and see if rotate and tilt are free and then he'll put it back in the barn facing the right way.
