I had an ATV-mounted Fimco sprayer which I used for spraying Rodeo, a glyphosate (Roundup) based herbicide. Unfortunately, the tank failed and the chemical leaked, damaging the winch electrics for the ATV.

Rather than seek a new herbicide, I'd like to find a sprayer with a tank stout enough to handle glyphosate without leaking. This is primarily used to treat tall invasive privet and undesirable hardwood, so distance spraying is a necessity. I'd also like to spray diesel for pile burning, but that's a secondary goal.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Never had trouble with the tanks, but I sure did with the pumps.

I have a Demco 25 gallon sprayer. It's 3-point/PTO powered. However - Demco makes many models of ATV-pull behind sprayers. I've had this sprayer for 25+ years and it still works. Had to have the little roller pump rebuilt about fifteen years ago. All I've ever used in the sprayer is Roundup. It will shoot out a stream at least 40 feet. Wife would drive the tractor. I'd walk behind with the hose and spray wand.

I have a 15 gallon FIMCO sprayer with poly tank for 10 years with no problems with the tank. I did replace the pump with a larger capacity one after a couple of years. I suggest that you mount a piece of plywood underneath the bottom rather than set it directly on the bar rack.
Also make sure that none of your tiedown straps have any metal touching the tank or any other metal from your luggage rack. Vibration against hard surfaces can quickly damage poly tanks.
I put mine in the back of my RTV and it is setting on a rubber mat.

I use my power washer. Rinse it out after each use. Glyo, gypsy moth spray, tree fertilizer, tent caterpillars.

I see you're in Georgia, so freezing should not have caused it. Do you empty the tank when done? I empty mine every time.. I've never had a tank leak/split.
NONE of the sprayers I've used allow/advise spraying diesel!
