Looking for a review on HomeStead snow plow.

I have a Kubota L3130 with quick detach loader.

Wanting a snow plow, already have a third function hydraulic valve (Summit).

Considering a 7 foot Home Stead plow…

THERE IS NO BETTER PLACE THAN THIS TO ASK!

This is for private use, my drive is 600 feet winding through woods and up hill. Has worked well with backblade for years, just tired of looking backwards.

Any comments and reviews on this plow appreciated.

Well, just got off phone with Chris at HomeStead Implements.

Should have my new 7 ft hydraulic snow plow in 6-8 weeks.

Will post with pictures and review when it arrives.

Just kidding - I am sure you will be thrilled with it.

One small piece of advice. When you get it and are setting it up; set up the shoes so there is a 1/2” - 3/4” clearance between the bottom of them and the ground with the blade tilted slightly forward (5 degrees or so) - then, on your bucket level indicator mark that setting. Makes an easy reference to make sure the blade is not scraping the ground all the time. Thats for gravel, can be a little closer for asphalt.

I had a L3130 HST with the Kubota sub-frame and 6' plow;worked pretty good but the FEL mounted (L4240) is a better set-up.A 7' "may-be" a bit much for the L3130;depends how much snow you get.
I had R1's loaded and a rear blade also.The only problem with the factory built plows is that they don't have "float".

Dirt drive and I set my blower up with a 2x4 block under it for 1.5" of clearance.

Hi @frj777 ! Do you have any updates on how your new plow performed last winter? I am purchasing a 6ft hydraulic angle from Homestead for my JD2520. There is a 2 month wait but hoping to get it before big snow flies. I noticed that the plow specs say it is 500lbs, which is triple the weight of the one that JD will sell you (made by Frontier) and I'm hoping it isn't too heavy for my subcompact...
