The mid-PTO used to be a dealer installed option and it's still listed as an option for the 3005 (same tractor as your 790 with an underhood exhaust).
Ask your dealer's parts and salesguys.
BTW, the kit used to cost around $400 or so. I'd priced one after I bought my 790, but never had any particular use for it, so I passed.

They pop up on Ebay or Craigslist from time to time. I saw one BM17994 kit on ebay and two on craigslist about 8-10 months ago when I was considering added one to my JD770 (I decided not to).
I did a quick search today for you but couldn't find any. Keep searching daily. If one comes up, grap it cause they go quick.
